
Within the project "Strengthening capacities of PLHIV in Montenegro" Montenegrian Association against AIDS- CAZAS is organizing PLHIV self-support group meetings coordinated by the Center staff and a PLHIV person working with the group. There are 3 experts (psychologist, legal advisor and Infectious Disease Specialist ) to provide PLHIV with psycho-social and legal support and medical advice.
The Center offers activities for PLHIV, but also to others who approach us as part of the program will aim at the public. Program and activities organized for PLHIV is consisting of: self-support group meetings; provision of legal and other counseling; individual psychosocial support; provision of accurate and adequate information on priority themes (accessibility of Anti-Retroviral Therapy in Montenegro, for an example); self-documentation of and support in dealing with stigma and discrimination; providing opportunities for voluntary work at the Center and creating a safe space where PLHIV can deal with their problems. A PLHIV member of CAZAS is leading the self-support group. This program is also aimed for friends, family members and partners of PLHIV. Discretion, anonymity and confidentiality are guaranteed to everyone who comes to the Center.
